KV No.1 Delhi Cantt. is one of the oldest school set up in 1963 as one of the 20 regimental schools adopted as central Schools under Union Ministry of Education. This School has a sprawling campus of 15.4 acres of land having all the facilities required for the growth of the children in particular and society at large. The school is located in the lush green area of Delhi Cantonment having clean environment conducive to health & education of the children. The Management committee of the School is headed by Deputy GOC in Command of Delhi Area as its Chairman and a galaxy of educationists, experts and eminent persons of the community as members. The School runs in two shifts. The first shift of the students starts from 7:00 am to 12:25 pm, and the second shift from 12:50 pm to 6:00 pm. Both the shifts have adequate staff and physical facilities needed to organize academic and extra curricular programs. The teaching faculty is qualified and experienced. Regular orientation and in-service programs are organized to keep them abreast with modern techniques of teaching – learning practices. In primary classes special emphasis is given to activity oriented teaching-learning process to make the School a pleasurable place to the youngsters. In secondary classes computer aided teaching – learning project methods and learning by doing are essence of the methodology.
